Project Runway Makes Trash Fashionable

The designers had to create glamour from unconventional materials and they exceeded our expectations.

25 July 2018

The competition this week required the designers to create ball gowns out of trash, ‘trashion’ as one of the tweets from last night stated. This challenge proved that the designers are truly talented and can stand among the best in the world.

New Meme Alert

A Project Runway episode would not be complete without a new meme being born. This week our fabulous presenter, Lerato Kganyago gave us another one. We wonder what next week will bring.

Enhle Mbali

Every week Project Runway SA brings us a surprise guest judge. This week we were graced with the presence of the founder of SA maternity wear SE Preggoz and talented actress, Enhle Mbali. She is definitely one of South Africa’s darlings and the Twitter streets showed her so much love.

Gift’s Win

Gift almost went home after the first Runway show and has worked extremely hard to take in all of the criticisms he has received to grow. This win was a testament that putting in the work to consistently move forward will result in victory.

Goodbye Excellent

Project Runway SA is not just fun and designs, it is a competition and that means weekly we will say goodbye to a talented designer. This week we bid adieu to Excellent Msame. Excellent’s Marie Antoinette ball gown rendition failed to impress the judges. It seems he has amassed many fans and we wish all the best on his future journey as a designer.
