For Riaan, a Facebook conversation with Simphiwe was enough to convince him he’s the man he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
The couple has gone through several challenges. Simphiwe says he’d get all sorts of insults and all sorts of pressure from people and it was tough for them. They even had to resign from work and look for jobs elsewhere.
Riaan loves the fact that Simphiwe is a straight talker but hates that he can’t seem to be on time for anything. He proposed in March 2017. They were at a restaurant and Riaan pretended he needed to go the bathroom, yet he went to buy a ring. Simphiwe got the surprise of his life!
