Mzansi Magic is thrilled to announce MnakwethuHappily Ever After Season 1 to its viewers in the new year. The show will be filled with twists and turns – and viewers will be given a rundown of what happened when cameras went off after in season 1 of Mnwethu with Musa Mseleku, a well-known polygamist attempted to help several men to convince their wives to get into a polygamous marriage.

After intense moments, where the first wives were introduced to their husband’s girlfriend who would be potential second wives in what was a drama-filled in Mnkwethu. Qondanisa, Ngiga, Dulas and Bheki Cele return in January where viewers will learn of family rejection, a love child and unexpected break-ups in a reality show that will keep viewers glued to their TV sets in the new year.

“Reality TV does not get better than this! While Mnakwethu Happily Ever After is entertainment that viewers can look forward to in the new year. The show is also like a fly on the wall for South Africans who are curious on the cultural processes that unfold when men ask their wives to be part of a polygamous marriage.

As Mzansi, we are very excited to be showcasing content that not only entertains, but educates, and drives conversations that evoke and not provoke emotions’’ says Nomsa Philiso, the Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net.

After introducing his wife Sithokozile to his girlfriend Samantha in what became an almost physical screaming match, will Qondanisa’s request to make Samantha his second wife work? Will all families agree to Qondanisa’s proposal? As for Ngiga, it appears as though there is a new twist and a new woman in the picture.

Will things work out for Bheki and his wife Mam’Cele and the new woman, Ma’Xulu after their first meeting earlier in the season? After Dulas tried to convince his wife, MaDlamini, to accept his wish to marry a second wife - MaMmhlongo, things got off to a shaky start after MaDlamini accepted his request but refused to move back home to Maphumulo to allow the new woman to be the Johannesburg wife. Will Dulas find a peaceful resolution to his situation?

After the wives were left shocked and speechless at the proposals for them to accept a polygamous marriage, Mnakwethu Happily Ever After season 1 will explore if there was a way forward after the proposals, and whether the women have come to terms with the thought of sharing a man and if the men will live up to their promise to their brides to be.
