Mpiyakhe Zungu wears many hats – taxi owner, businessman, budding politician, brother, father and husband to two wives. Now it looks like the Bhubesini Casanova could have found wife number three!

We all know Zungu is quite the charmer. Remember when he melted MaDlamini’s heart to butter when she was livid with him?

There was no way Phumelele could resist him then. Now, Mkhize is the one who has to try resist Zungu’s charms and she has no intentions of doing so.

Mkhize and Mpiyakhe’s love story is a bit of unlikely match. Mkhize, was the unrelenting cop on a mission to clean up the taxi industry, which should have included Mpiyakhe Zungu and particularly Judas Ngwenya. Somewhere along the line Mkhize fell in love with Zungu. Suspicions were running rife that there was romantic chemistry between the two, but when it was finally sealed with a kiss, there was just no denying it! 

Their union could prove to be both romantic and strategic – with Zungu heading up the Kuchulula campaign, having a former cop on his arm could add to his legitimacy among the greater public. However, will it hinder him from gaining trust among fellow taxi owners.

If there is one thing we know about Mpiyakhe Zungu is that he does not shy away from a challenge. He certainly won’t let the opinions of a few taxi drivers get in the way of his new love.

This leaves Phumelele and Siphokazi as the only barriers to him sealing the deal officially with Mkhize. Given how Phumelele reacted to the last time Zungu tried to introduce Lethu in the polygamous marriage, one can only guess that she will be less than inviting of Mkhize.

Questions that need answers:

Is Zungu intending on making Mkhize his third wife?

Will Phumelele accept the young Mkhize into the Zungu stable?

Only time will tell, but it seems some of you are already pro Zungu and Mkhize’s love affair!
