Mkabayi Zungu is not an easy woman to understand. Her decision can often be described as impulsive and hotheaded but a closer looks reveals the woman she really is and the leader the Zungus need. Here is why we think she should be leader of the pack!

1. She is fearless

Need we say more? Name one thing Mkabayi is afraid of, we'll wait...

2. She is selfless

We know what you're thinking: There is no way Mkabayi thinks of anyone but herself. But take a closer look. Anytime Mkabayi has made a difficult decision, it has been for the protection of her family. In fact, the most important thing to Mkabayi is family and an attack on this entity has always fuelled her anger. 

3. She is not afraid to make difficult decisions

Mkabayi does not feel the ned to impress anyone so she is not afraid to make the tough decisions other people would shy away from. It is an overlooked characteristic about her - her brother gets to walk away clean while Mkabayi makes the tough decision to ensure the family's safety in a tough industry and world. If the Zundu enemies are afraid of anyone, it has to be Mkabayi. 

4. She is supportive

Remember when Zungu had to face the council to answer for knowing that Zweli was not in fact Ngubane? Mkabayi volunteered to accompany him for moral support. What about the time Jabu and Zama wanted to be together and she was their support? How about when she helped Kgokong and Jabu face their depression about losing their loved ones? When Siphokazi was in the hospital yearning to go home, she asked the doctor to release her into the family's care. Mkabayi is always there for her friends and family. 

5. She is focused

Like any good leader, Mkabayi is focused and never easily distracted. From the beginning of the war, her enemy has been clear to her - Judas Ngwenya. She has not picked up new enemies or unecessary friends in the process. In fact, she has been able to gather some soldiers for her cause. 

BONUS! She is not afraid of Mpiyakhe

Mpiyakhe is a man who is not often questionned by his business partners, wives, children or anyone for that matter; except Mkabayi. Every nw and then, even Mpiyakhe needs someone to keep him in check and tell him what he does not want to hear.
