When Winny made that call to the police in 2011, reporting that their house had been broken into, she didn’t know she’d meet the man of her dreams.

Their lobola negotiations took a “knock” when Zweli’s representatives were sent back by Winny’s family, citing that she was too young to get married at that time. It came as no surprise that the couple wanted only the best when they finally got the family blessing, with the venue, the groom’s suit and the décor being on the top of their Wish List.

Day before the wedding, Zweli tried on is suit at home. His mom hardly ever saw him wearing a suit so it was a special moment for her. Zweli admitted that he wears boots and sneakers most of the time.

Next up, Winny headed over to see the venue itself, as well as the décor. She had asked the décor designer to use fairy lights for the main table and that’s the first thing she asked for when they got to the venue. The décor designer was more than happy to light up that lights, making Winny a very happy bride.

And with that, Winny and Zweli ticked off the items on their Wish List and had themselves a perfect wedding.
