They are both fabulously stylish and famously outspoken so the news that South African media stars Dineo Ranaka and Kuli Roberts have been confirmed to feature at both the launches of BIG BROTHER MZANSI: DOUBLE TROUBLE is definitely going to delight fans of the reality TV series.

Running 56 days, the new season kicks off with two launches – on Sunday March 22 (20:00) and Monday March 23 (19:30) on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) with 24/7 live coverage available on DStv channels 197 and 198.

The roles of Ranaka and Roberts have been kept under wraps but it is understood the sensational duo are in the show at the request of the Biggie himself; and will not join series host Lungile Radu on stage but will be offering their unique perspective on the Housemates as they make their way into the game. With Housemates known to dress to impress and speak their minds, often dramatically on launch night, it will be interesting to hear what commentary they’ll draw from Biggie’s guests. Will it be double the fun or the double the diva? Only time will tell so be sure to watch!

The cleverly designed new BIG BROTHER MZANSI: DOUBLE TROUBLE stage will feature some of South Africa’s coolest performers on both launch nights, with DJ Merlon (featuring Mondli) set to appear on Sunday night while Monday’s line-up includes Fisherman, DJ Tira, Naak Musiq, Danger and The Dream Team.

Of course, the night’s most anticipated stars will be the newest Housemates and while we know they entered in pairs or as singles, not much more info is available. The show’s producers Endemol are also promising a very fresh twist during one of the launch nights, but won’t say if it will be on Sunday or Monday. All they will say is that it’s definitely different! So stay tuned…

This year, prize money on the show has gone up to a staggering R 2 million, one of the richest prizes on offer on South African TV right now but how and who will win it also remains to be seen.

In addition, Mzansi Magic and Endemol have worked hard to revamp the Big Brother house, and it too features several surprises that will once again be revealed at launch! The strongly revised House features two brand new spaces that have never been included previously in any Big Brother show on this continent, and both promise to deliver tons of entertainment.

As the Housemates prepare for Biggie’s world of no cell-phones, no television and limited contact with the outside world, audiences can prepare for what is sure to be an unforgettable series opening followed by all the nomination, eviction, task and diary session entertainment we’ve come to expect from what remains a truly fan-focussed TV format!

Every fan can vote for their favourite Housemates to remain in the game AND can send messages directly to the show’s live TV feed PLUS fans can also speak their minds on any of the show’s highly active social media platforms:
