I Joined KFC Taste Kitchen Because...
Tina: I love food. I love cooking and I love entertaining. I also own a catering company and would love to see it grow, so KFC Taste Kitchen was the right thing to do. My sister told me about the auditions and initially I was hesitant. However, after a bit of convincing, I decided to do it.
Eunice: I have a passion for cooking. Also, I have a business that I want to grow so I can create more jobs, hire more people and feed more people.
When Did You Discover Your Passion for Cooking?
Tina: Definitely when I was in my early teens. I come from a big family and we all cook well. My mom was very strict and taught us how to handle the pots. She expected us to do everything exactly how she did and that helped. When we got older, we developed our own techniques obviously that added to what she had taught us.
Eunice: I must have been 13 or 14. I come from a big family and we were raised by a single mother who worked hard to put food on the table. Sometimes, she would work long nights to provide for us, so she taught us how to cook when we were really young. She’d be sitting in a corner at the machine while one of us whipped up something special.
What Is Your Favourite Food on the KFC Menu?
Tina: Definitely Dunked Wings. I have them as a starter, then move on to other menu items because they are that good.
Eunice: I absolutely love KFC mash and gravy. I have it with whatever meal. Also, the Sweet Chilli Twister is a favourite of mine.
Describe Your Perfect Kitchen/Cooking Space
Tina: I love nice equipment, utensils and dishes. The perfect cooking station should have all of these. Oh, and space. Lots of space so I can manoeuvre.
Eunice: I am not fussy at all. I’m all about the food, vegetables in particular. They have to be fresh at all times. But, the kitchen has to have the right equipment and must be clean too.

Tina: I grew up on the Word of God, so any scripture that speaks of God’s protection and grace.
Eunice: The Lord is my shepherd… without a doubt.
