There has never been a throne more contested than her majesty Harriet's as the matriarch of the Khoza family. She has risen from doting beautiful trophy wife to calculating and strategic drug lord and Khoza mafioso. The danger in her though, has not deterrred many from trying to take her place. First it was Linda's caniving fiance and then came the obnoxious matriarch, Thulile. Now, Harriet has let in the woman who caused the breakdown of her family...Violet - and she has hurt harriet more than all the others.
When Violet came on the scene, she appeared harmless. She came in palms open, teary-eyed, groveling and begging for a second chance from Harriet. Hindsight is 20/20 and it seems Harriet's first instincts that Violet would turn into a problem were spot on.
Harriet should have known things were getting sticky when Violet was bold enough to come to the truck depot to drop off her son Ayanda for Harret to take care of. However, nothing could have prepared Harriet for Violet running to Thulile, Mzi's sister. Her husband's mistress arrived in the evening, baby in hand with Thulile to announce to all Khoza and sundry that she had a baby with Mzi. This time there was little Harriet could have done. Even getting rid of Thulile, was a more temporary solution for Harriet.
We may never know what possessed Harriet and Kgosi to gab on about killing Mzi within earshot of anyone in the Khoza house, but the information eaily fell into the wrong hands - Violet's hands. Since then, Violet has been on an impatient quest to see Harriet pay for her sins for killing Mzi before he had chance to divorce Harriet and move in with and marry Violet.
Last night, Violet showed she was not just the quiet maid, she has a lot more teeth to her bite than we expected. She hit back at Harriet and may have just ended Harriet's reign as the queen.
Has Violet killed Harriet? With Harriet's confession recorded will Violet reveal the truth about who killed Mzi. Is this the end for Harriet?
