Last night on Papa Penny Ahee, we got to see the side to Papa Penny that made him the icon he is - we got to see Papa Penny the musician. Don't be fooled into thinking he ammassed as much fame and fortune as he has just being an eccentric character. He is a seasoned musician who's been creating smash hits since 1994.

While in studio with DJ Maphorisa, a jaw-dropping four songs were recorded in one day. Papa Penny was impressed with Maphorsa's impresive digs, but advised him to work even harder so he could reach Papa Penny's level - building his very own Gaza.

As we've come to learn, Papa Penny is also quite the philosopher. He doesn't see things on the surface, but looks deeper into the meaning of life and all that it makes up. He dispensed some more of his characteristic wisdom while recording a song with JR, his fellow former Clash of the Choirs choirmasters. Papa Penny doesn't believe in being called a black person, he doesn't believe black people should be referred as such. He believes black people are gold and should be called gold-bones.

Raise your hand if you're also pure gold!
