Its complicated, let's break it down

Everybody knows love triangles can be pretty messy for the people involved and their friends and family, but nothing could have prepared us for the complex and intertwined love drama on season two of It's Complicated. It has been a whirlwind of tragic loss, traumatic breakups, gross infidelity and nosey in-laws.

Season two of It's Complicated  started with a life-chaging dillema.

Ipeleng was in hospital with her own life and that of her first and only child hanging in the balance. Vumani, her fiance had a difficult decision to make, save the baby or save Ipeleng. Things were not that simple, so enter the complicated love triangle...  who is the father of Ipeleng's child, Vumani or Thato.

Thato's mother swears Ipeleng told her that Thato is the father before she was rushed to the hospital. This leaves Vumani unable to cope with the betrayal of losing a child that was not even his to have in the first place. Sadly, it would seem that they would never know the truth as the baby did not make it.

Neither Ipelng or Vumani is coping with the grief of mourning bot a child and relationship that was to end in forever after.

Ipeleng has resorted to a dangerous dovetailing of anti-depressants and alchohol. She arrives to work drunk and giggles like a little girl in important meeting. She has become a shadow of that ambitious, go-getter, always have a Plan A-Z Ipeleng we knew and loved in season 1.

Vumani has drowned himself in alcohol and women. Going as far as to air his dirty laundry with Ipeleng on television calling her horrible names. He has also arrived late to work and is on his first written warning. Where will this downward path take the arrogant but hurting Vumani in the end?

Thato's life has not been much better ever since he found out he could have been the father of Ipeleng's child. He missed a romantic and sexy night with Ntando on the day Ipeleng was in hpspital and has been paying for it ever since. His marriage is in absolute tatters as he and new wife Ntando fight like cat and dog.

It seems Thato cannot do or say anything right without his wife Ntando using it as an excuse to cheat with her new lover and old flame, Nqobizitha. Remember him? Ntando dropped her wine glass at the first sound of his name being announced at a party. Then, the two began their steamy affair that same night. So there is definitely tons of history there. How will it all unfold? Can Ntando carry on seeing her lover without getting caught? What will Thato, the committed husband do, do when he finds the love of his life is cheating on him with her boss?

In the mist of all this, Mandisa is trying to introduce a new man into Ipelengs life in the form of her very handsome varsity friend and medical doctor, Phila. But is Ipeleng ready for a man or is Phila exactly what she needs to begin her healing process?

Thabang and Mandisa's relationship has not survived the drama and pain either. Thabang has been persistently trying to get mandisa to agree to marrying him, including going as far as hosting a surprise engagement dinner with both their paretns, after she rejected his proposal.

However, Mandisa reveals a painful secret that could put ideas of marriage far from Thabang's mind. Is Thabang being unfair on Mandisa for a past she could not control? What will happen to our favourite happy and chirpy couple?

Things are set to get more complicated eith Ipeleng losing control and Vumani on a vengeful and defeated path. Can Ipeleng or Vumani keep their jobs as alcohol threatens to ruin their flourishing careers? How long can Ntando keep up her affair with Nqobi without the soft-hearted Thato finding out. Can Thabang and Mandisa find common ground for her to have some healing?
