It has been a whirlwind trip of drama into the lives of Mzansi teens. Winnie, Londi, Thishiwe and Noxolo have shown us that age is nothing but a number in the pursuit of what ones dreams of. However, it has not been that simple. At times, it would seem the folly of their own decision would lead them don some dangerous and heartbreaking paths. The intrigue has you glued to your Mzansi screens rooting for your favourite.
Winnie:
From the moment Winnie hit our screen she made sure it was known that far off dreams of love and living a life of slaying and queening...the Beyonce life as she calls it, are not daunting to her. She is a teen who has had to grow up quickly.
Banished by her brother from Johannesburg to small rural town Bergville, Winne has taken the challenge to find her way in her stride. She was quick to make her presence known at her new school and seems to be running it with fiesty gusto. She will stop at nothing to be reunited with her love, Lebone.
However, are the lengths Winnie is willing to go to without their own consequnces?
Can her brother and cruel grandmother really save Winnie from herself? Or are her actions a means to her dreams and getting away from a life that seems pre-set for her?
Londi:
The young mother, trying to give her daughter a better life by going back to school, working a job and trying to make her young marriage work. Londi's life continues to pull at our heart strings. Long nights spent with her baby crying all night as she tries to study only to have to deal with her husband's infidelity and fights with his mistress.
Will Londi get the education she needs to live a better life? What will happen with her failing marriage? Should she try to win her husband's heart back?
Thishiwe:
The only one of the ninja squad that has the guts to stand up to the presumed leader, Winnie. Especially, after Lebone called Winnie, she began to doubt that it was becasue of Thishiwe's powers.
Thishiwe is a young girl paying for her mother's sins in the eyes of the bergville community. However, it would appear that her connection to her mother, and the possibility that she may have her mother's powers, could help her reach her goals. Anything Thishiwe does, she does for both herself and her brother.
Does Thishiwe have her mother's powers? What will happen if the community finds out that Thishiwe has her mother's powers? Why does Thishiwe want R10 000?
Noxolo:
A newbie to the ninja squad we are yet to see what role Noxolo will play. Noxolo appears to be a goodie-two-shoes doing things by the book, but she has a stng as we saw when she threatened Thishiwe. However, we know that the girls of Is'thunzi have bigger battles to fight in their lives.
Who is the father of Noxolo's child? What will her mother and stepfather do when they find out? Why does Noxolo need to speak to Winnie so desperately?
