The song says "first comes love, then comes marriage", but what it fails to reveal is all that goes on between those two stages. The good, the bad, the ugly. Sometimes, so much ugly. There is no shortage of love between Mzingisi and Michelle. It's clear this pair is besotted with each other. However, the love they share doesn't make them immune to the issues that creep up in relationships - misunderstandings, lack of communication, unmet expectations.
Now that Mzingisi has accumulated enough cows to make Michelle his wife, Michelle expects him to hand in his partygoer card and spend more time at home. Mzi, on the other hand, feels life shouldn't change manifestly just because he's an engaged man. In his own words, "Boys' time is boys' time, Michelle's time is Michelle's time."
Is Michelle expecting too much, or should Mzingisi make the necessary adjustments?
We hope this two make their love work, so it can be declared that love wins.
