As effervescent as Dineo Ranaka is, it was to be expected that her family are not a bunch of shrinking violets. Wouldn't it be frustrating if she were in technicolour and her family were monochrome? Luckily, she doesn't have to keep herself bubbling under, because her family is just as exuberant as she is. We were introduced to the Ranaka family last night - or rather, the Ranaka party, unashamedly governing our screens, with no opposition.

The first lady of the family, Mama Siba, had watched her young ones plan and execute epic weekends away, and last night, she decided it was her time. Always prim, proper, and the matriarch that leads the family alongside her husband with calm firmness and level-headedness, she threw her apron aside, run her fingers through her hair, put her hand on her hip, and decided it was time she cut loose and have a good time.

Most people work their way up to a level 10 turn-up, but Mama Siba, never one to do things in halves, skipped the beginner and intermediary stages and took an excited trip to the national seat of turn-ups - Eyadini in Durban. She could barely contain her giddiness.

If you are yet to visit Eyadini and suffered from a serious case of FOMO having seen Dineo's mom cut a rug at the famous spot, you aren't the only one. Also, if you are now working on a Powerpoint presentation to be made to your mom on why she shouldn't fill her tank, buy some Chuck Taylors and head there with her friends, you aren't the only one there either.

Did Ntate Ranaka fry an egg or go to bed hungry? Did he buy himself a new phone and call her, begging her to come home? Did Mama Siba and her friends come across any Ben 10 Blessers? You'll just have to tune in next week to find out!
