They’re all South African. They’re all outspoken. They will live together in a specially constructed house, completely isolated from the outside world, watched 24/7 by viewing audiences across the country. They are the housemates of BIG BROTHER MZANSI and they will be taking up residence in the house live on Mzansi Magic at 19:00 on Sunday, 2 February.
They are ready for action. Are you?
Time is flying in the run-up to BIG BROTHER MZANSI and with Mzansi Magic now confirming that there’s a mouth-watering grand prize of R 1 million on offer, the game is most definitely on! And what a game it is…
Each week housemates will nominate each other for eviction. The housemates who get the most nominations will have to survive a viewer vote. If they don’t, they’re evicted out of the game instantly. Only the last person remaining at the end will take home the mega jackpot. Along the way Big Brother, that infamous and legendary character at the centre of it all, will no doubt be introducing his own twists and turns into the game.
As with Big Brother editions all around the world, stakes are high so fans can expect drama and lots of it! Add to this the possibility for love, laughs and a truly life-changing experience, and the stage is set for a hugely entertaining edition of the hit global reality TV series.
And, in case you have not heard the good news as yet, BIG BROTHER MZANSI will be hosted by hot TV personality Lungile Radu who’s well known to viewers of Channel O, Vuzu, and Mzansi Magic for programs such as Kasi 101, O-Boma and Forever Young!
Now, with the countdown to BIG BROTHER MZANSI gathering momentum, both Mzansi Magic and series producers Endemol SA are sharing their excitement about the new season.
M-Net Director for Local General Entertainment SA, Yolisa Phahle, is confident that BIG BROTHER MZANSI will be TV to talk about. “Big Brother is the ultimate reality show. It’s unscripted, unrehearsed and literally anything can happen. You’ll see everything as it happens…from the friendships and feuds to the controversy and final contender. This is real TV in real time, 24/7!”
Commenting for Endemol SA, CEO Sivan Pillay adds, “We are thrilled that this time-tested format, one of the earliest in the Endemol stable, is back on South African screens. It remains one of the most exciting social experiments around and one that continues to fascinate viewers the world over with its unique ability to showcase a society and its diversity.
